Our Work to Support Kids

Did you know that there are nearly 74 million kids just in the United States?

The United Fresh Start Foundation believes that every single child should grow up with access to fresh, wholesome fruits and vegetables.

Unfortunately, many children are not getting the access they need to live a long and healthy life.  Food insecurity and obesity are major challenges for millions of children across the country.  Today, about one in three children are overweight or obese – and it’s not getting any better. Childhood obesity has more than doubled in the past 30 years! Scientists are also now telling us that today’s generation may be the first not to outlive their parents, in large part because of the obesity epidemic.

We are working to change that!

Kids need regular access to fresh produce from an early age through adolescence. Whether in school or anywhere kids are just hungry, we’re dedicated to creating an environment where kids have easy access to fresh fruits and vegetables!
